Baylor cheerleaders - NCAA Betting Odds: Iowa State Cyclones and Baylor Bears

It wasn’t too long ago that sixth-ranked Baylor Bears was in a three-way race for first place in the Big 12. But after back-to-back losses to Kansas and Missouri — who are now in a two-way tussle for the title — the Bears have dropped into a tie for third with Monday's opponent, Iowa State Cyclones.

All four of Baylor’s losses this season have come against Kansas and Missouri, but it has yet to face the Cyclones, who are the biggest surprise in the league.

Led by Big 12 Newcomer of the Year candidate Royce White, Iowa State has won four of its past five games.

Where: The Ferrell Center, Waco, Texas
TV: ET; ESPNU

The Bears have opened as 8.5-point favorites on SBG Global Sportsbook’s Live NCAA Basketball Odds.

Iowa State Cyclones (18-7): The Cyclones are coming off a 69-46 blowout of Texas A&M on Saturday, their second 20-plus point beatdown of the Aggies this season. The win gave Iowa State its best start through the first 12 conference games since it went 10-2 in 2000-01, when Larry Eustachy was coach. The Cyclones have turned into a dominant perimeter team, ranking first the Big 12 in three-pointers per game (8.9) and second in three-point percentage defense (.300).

Baylor Bears (21-4): After finishing 0-4 against Kansas and Missouri this season, the Bears can all but give up any hope of competing for their first-ever Big 12 title. But there’s still a lot to play for, and a win against Iowa State would help Baylor get back on track to make a late-season run. The Cyclones lead the league in three-pointers made, but the Bears are the Big 12’s best in three-point shooting (.389 percent). Sophomore Perry Jones III will look to break out of a recent slump. The NBA prospect had just nine points on three-of-20 shooting in the back-to-back losses.

NCAA Basketball Betting

3. Iowa State senior Chris Allen has caught fire in the past two games, scoring 47 points, including a career-high 25 against Texas A&M.
